It looks like Graffiti Research Lab helped AZ, Stiles P and Large Professor laser tag their names up for “The Hardest Out” music video. The video looks really good, like a Hip Hop Sprint commercial. That’s us saying we like it. The track is off AZ’s album, ‘The Undeniable’ coming Out February 5th, 2008.
Dan Colen is the subject of the latest episode of Art Talk on VBS. It was inevitable. He’s made numerous appearances in Vice Magazine, been a long time friend of Ryan McGinley, turned hotel rooms to “hamster nests” with Dash Snow (and then recreated it at Deitch Gallery), taken his rock sculptures and spray-painted boards to the Whitney Biennial, and hung thrift-store paintings in the Gagosian gallery bathrooms. After filming some tricks in NYC earlier this month, Bootleg Sessions has a trailer out.
Bootleg Sessions will not be a “film.” It will be a down and dirty DVD compilation of cuts from several of our favorite riders from around the U.S. who have agreed to bootleg their daily sessions, progressions, and general post-transportation tomfoolery. It is not meant to be ground-breaking, life-changing, trend-setting, or scene-defining. It’s just fun. Ride/Relax.

Derrick Beckles has been hitting the streets of Williamsburg and Greenpoint for VBS.tv to document the oil, raw sewage, and other toxic hazards stewing in the ground. But with low level plutonium radiation at Radiac on Kent Avenue and the phthalates blowing out of smokestacks, the threat isn’t limited to the earth beneath your feet. Parts one, two, three, and four are available for viewing, and the final two episodes will go live in the next couple days.
