Through May, The Threat of Chance, featuring the work of Josh MacPhee, Billy Mode, Chris Stain and The Polaroid Kidd, will be on display at Ad Hoc Art (49 Bogart Street, Brooklyn). The gallery is built out into a railroad shanty town full of paintings, stencils, photographs and signs. A handful of photos are here, but you can’t fully appreciate it unless you explore it in person.
Last night, the Impact Festival brought poet, Taína Asili and Broadcast Live, a music project born in Albany, NY’s anarchist activist community, to perform as part of the UnfinishedWorks series at The Culture Project. Artists, Chris Stain, Josh Macphee and Billy Mode shared their street art, depicting the history of radical movements and life of the working class American. If you missed this, the Impact Festival continues bridging culture and politics through October 22.
