REVS and KAVES Drop Death From Above

Once practically a gallery of his work, DUMBO has lost much of the work by graffit artist REVS in the last few years. The REVS and PEEK mural on Front Street was painted over and many of his sculptures have been cut off their welds, probably bound for private collections or profits. Fortunately for the neighborhood that must tolerate an uninspired Nike ad, REVS is back, painting a fire and ice themed mural with KAVES of Lordz of Brooklyn. The mural is even crowned with one of his coveted sculptures, high up of course, so it’s less attractive to thieves. DJ Rob Low even caught the action:

I looked out my damn window Saturday and saw two guys painting over the old mural at the corner of York and Bridge Street in Brooklyn, near the Manhattan Bridge. By the time Sunday rolled around, the pieces were taking shape, and I could see that it was graffiti legends Revs and Kaves (from Lordz of Brooklyn) doing a new production. I introduced myself and they told me it was the first time they had painted together in 20 years… two Bay Ridge boys from the ’80s.

  6. revs put that in public for a reason. if he would have wanted it as hipster bathroom decor he would have sold out to your daddies a long time ago.

  7. r,
Loosen your tie. I’m kidding around. You think I’d knock that wall down for my bathroom? Nah, I could paint that shit myself.

  11. People stealing his artwork for themselves hiding it in their houses like the vermin they are. Keep gnawing away at Revs’s work, the man has been in this graf thing well before you even thought of picking up your dick to take a piss let alone a blowtorch and he’ll continue to be miles ahead of you. So keep stashing your rusted pieces of junk away in your cave like Gollum from the Lord of the Rings, precioouusssss.

  12. revs an old stressed out man with high blood pressure. he gonna have a heart attack any day now from multitasking and high depression. guys a legend whether he wants to be or not. which is why people always gonna be takin his street sculptures. people want something for themselves from the legend. can you really blame them? even his small circle of friends are on his dick so hard if he wore a diaper they would wipe his ass and powder it just to get a wiff of his insides. really is amazing. some of his boys live breath and want to be revs. they go to bed thinking of revs. they wake up thinking of revs.

the most hardcore revs groupies are in his circle. they got no identity without revs. really sad. they want to tell as many people who will listen that they know revs. and that they gone bombin with revs. i heard they laugh at anything revs says. if revs tells a joke that doesnt make sense they start laughing like crazy. “Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh revs your so funny. do you have enough pillows? can i get you some more rice krispies treats?”
