Bike Bullying Cop Stripped of Badge and Gun
According to the Daily News, Patrick Pogan, the 22 year-old officer who carried out Friday’s assault on a cyclist during Critical Mass, was stripped off his badge and gun, and is now assigned to desk duty pending an investigation. ANIMAL looks at the court documents and notes:
“Contrary to the video evidence and universal common sense, the cop (deponent) claimed—in a sworn statement—that Long swerved and then ran into him, “causing deponent to fall to the ground and causing deponent to suffer lacerations on deponent’s forearms” . However, as the clip demonstrates, that’s not the case and the attack was unprovoked.”

Patrick Pogan is a lying sack of shit and a pock mark on the NYPD and this city. This rookie cop should be charged with perjury for filing a blatantly false report. Pogan was not following direct orders “to stop and arrest any individual who violated the law by creating a dangerous situation.” He’s a loose cannon who assaulted a peaceful cyclist for no reason except his inability to control himself. How long before he “mistakes” a wallet for a gun and blows an innocent New Yorker away?
It’s shameful that Patrick Lynch, head of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, is defending a perjuring rookie cop. He should get some balls and toss this rookie Pogan bitch.
