Streets of Europe

Tomorrow is your last chance to see ‘The Streets of Europe’ in person at the Jonathan Levine Gallery (529 West 20th Street, 9E). The show features stencils, paintings, video installations, and sculptures from the street artists Blek le Rat, Blu, Bo130, D*Face, Microbo and Space Invader. While street art enthusiasts will feel familiar with some of the work, it’s definitely worth an up close look.
Check out more photos of the exhibit.

Great show people….overall a great show….Invader always does great work,
a lil’ disapointed about Blu great drawings and video but didn’t really hit me…
to tell you the truth….nothing really hit me a part from Bo130 and Micro-Bo…
the most original and inspiring work in years !

I’m really surprised about DFace success, really I don’t understand…??…
to me he looks like a blended copy of Obey + Banksy + Insect in a cheap way! really I don’t get it!
In Europe There are so many other artists who deserved to be in the show, much, much more then him…anyway…
Looking at the works of the Italians compered to the others I see a BIG, big gap….

Bo130 is just now doing what Phil Frost has been doing (and doing damn well) since the 90’s. See for yourself http://www.supertouchblog.com/2007/05/21/brooklynstudio-visit-phil-frost/
Forget Italy, it’s all about Guilderland, NY…
