Gore.b Explains Street Art Paradox

We saw a preview of Gore.b’s painting of Marc and Sara Schiller of Wooster Collective at the Street Art Symposium and admired the resemblance, the muted color scheme, and the megaphone and mirror they carry. Then we curiously admired the later additions: a crowned fetus in Sara’s stomach (she’s pregnant), Marc’s ankle shackled to a crib, a dogged looking dog, and ‘Fame Game’ printed on his soap box, courtesy Skewville. Was this beef? Critique? Family portrait? Complex got the full scoop from Gore.b.

it’s hard to imagine two people who did more to harm graffiti than these two yuppies. look out your window and see how many busted stencils or pointless wheatpastes exist because of their glorification of “street art” (not graffiti, mind you, that’s a dangerous and unartistic form of expression). wooster collective is a bad joke that way too many people take seriously.
gore shouldn’t be mincing words, he’s done enough pre-”street art” dirt to know a rat when he sees one, at least i hope he does.
this rant SHOULD be construed as a “fuck you” to all talentless hanger-ons, including WC.
