Painted Flowers on Manhattan Bridge

With the cold weather only getting colder, this is as close as you’ll get to riding your bike through a field of wildflowers. Just remember to slow down before you hit the strip of ice at the bottom of the bridge.

  1. Wow. That’s really cool. It’s amazing what you can create in little pockets of NYC when you’re not under constant surveillance.

  2. Wow! This is an amazing piece of art work; to me the flowers represents the fruit of life. The flowers are a really cool depiction of life and since flowers don’t grow in the very cold weather; i feel the picture is a great example of how nature and graffiti can help make the Williamsburg bridge in Brooklyn take on a different form; even though it is cold outside flowers on the concrete ground can make us feel warm.

Tell Martin I say thumbs up!!! Complex indidvuals!( this is an understatement) Ha Ha

  3. When you add color to anything it makes life feel so much better. Even a blind person knows this; because they can feel life moving around them. Color takes on many different forms;in the concrete jungle it is hard to get lost, just follow the yellow brick road. Flowers are fruit; you have to eat them in your mind. The picture is a “peaceful” thought.

  4. yes, i heard this was a collective project. the idea is that people add their flower stencils to one anothers’ gardens, so that the gardens grow. it’s not a finished piece of art, so if you like what you see you should add to it next time you go by! or better yet, plant yr own garden!
