A special preview screening of the PBS documentary that delves into the rich cultural history of the South Bronx, birthplace of hip-hop and hotbed of Mambo. Come early for sets by DJ Charlie Chase and Orlando Marín (of The Last Mambo King) plus performances by veteran Hip Hop, Salsa and Mambo dancers. Q & A to follow the film with the movie’s director Henry Chalfant; producer and consultant Elena Martínez; percussionist Benny Bonilla; legendary mambo dancer, Tony “Peanuts” Aubert; and hip hop dancer and historian PopMaster Fabel.
